Envelope film and photograph weddings in Nepal. At Aurora Studios I built their editorial portfolio, the enquiry flow and the admin behind it. The studio runs it themselves.
What it is
Envelope film and photograph weddings on the argument that the celebration lasts a few days and the memory of it lasts generations. Most wedding sites undo that argument on sight with thumbnail grids, sliders and a wall of packages. This one had to do the opposite: the work at full size, the typography quiet, and only as many words as the pictures need.
Envelope arrived with a clear idea of how their work should be shown, and we refined it into the design at Aurora Studios. The build was my part of it: the site that has to hold those pictures at that size, the enquiry flow, and the admin behind it.

What the work covered
- The build, responsive from phone to desktop, from the full-bleed opening frame to a navigation holding three words
- The featured couples on the home page, tall cards under the couples’ own names
- Stories, laid out as a mosaic sized to the picture rather than to the grid
- The gallery: four across and left to run, no captions, no lightbox chrome, no page numbers
- The enquiry flow, with email notification to the studio
- The admin the studio runs all of it from

Behind the site
Weddings are booked a year out, so the studio needed to keep the site current without coming back to us. Everything a season changes, they change themselves: enquiries, the featured rail and the full stories grid, the headlines and hero images on home, about and contact, the gallery cells, the team roster, and the questions that appear on the contact page.

The outcome
The work arrives the way it was made, at full size and in its own time, and the studio keeps the site moving between weddings on its own.
